Question: Is catnip safe for my kitty and will it work?

Answer: Yes, although not recommended for kittens, nepeta cataria is absolutely safe for cats! As for if your kitty will experience anything, the chances are very good although roughly 30% of cats have no reactions to catnip.

Question: Where does catnip come from?

Answer: Neither cats nor catnip are native to North America. Nepeta Cataria is thought to have orginated in the same part of the globe as cats, the middle east/asia (cradle of civilization) area!

Question: What is hydrosol and is it safe?

Answer: Completely safe, a hydrosol is the term for the waters that result from distillation. If you're familair with rose water then you already know a hydrosol!

Question: What can I use the catnip hydrosol for?

Answer: Hydrosol made from nepeta cataria can be used to spritz your kitties favourite scratching post or pad, toys or bed. You can also use it to freshen your house or as a mild mosquito repellant.

Question: Is your catnip organic?

Answer: While we aren't certified as organic, we do not use any pesticides or man-made fertilizers.
